Robert Half and Happiness Works shared duties and did a study of 12,000 U.S. and Canadian workers. Insurance jobs were the second most stressful in the list. Professionals doing IT have the least stress.
Here’s the list:
3. Healthcare and wellness
4. Hospitality and food services
5. Financial services
6. Education and training
10. Human resources
11. Marketing or creative
Looking at job stress more specifically and in job roles specifically, the study concluded semi-skilled and agricultural workers are among the most stressed. Senior executives are the least stressed and those at staff level professional positions — like many in insurance — sat somewhere in the middle of the pack.
Here’s that list:
1. Semi-skilled and agricultural
2. Skilled trades or crafts
3. Personal or care services
4. Staff-level professionals
6. Sales or customer service workers
7. Administrative and secretarial clerks
8. Senior executives
The study says job stress depends on a lot of factors including workplace culture, leadership, work load and bunch of other lesser things.
