What CIC & CISR Did for Me & What It Can Do for You

Posted By Administration, Tuesday, January 23, 2018

Jessica Cromer, CISR Elite

In 2015, I made the hard decision to become a working mother and started my career in the insurance industry as a front desk receptionist for Valley Insurance. I quickly realized it was a job that would turn into a lifelong career. I obtained my license in personal lines by the end of 2015, obtained my CISR designation in 2016 and lastly, obtained my CISR Elite designation in 2017.

The CISR classes have provided with me a great educational base to start a lifelong career in the insurance industry. Obtaining the CISR Elite designation has validated that decision. It has given me confidence to sit down with a client and be able to complete a comprehensive review of their insurance needs. I am extremely grateful for all the benefits the CISR classes have provided me, from continuing education to networking. Now, bring on the CIC classes!

My husband and I have two extremely handsome little boys that keep us on our toes and are the light of our lives! Outside of work one of my favorite things to do is spend time with my family in the great outdoors. There isn’t an outdoor activity we don’t enjoy! My passion is gardening and more often than not, in my spare time you will catch me reading a book.

Trent Hanson, CIC

“Earning my CIC designation is important to me because I will be able to serve my clients more effectively. The education I received helps me put together more comprehensive insurance plans, and avoid exclusions that may be a detriment. I look forward to the continuing education provided by CIC throughout my career. Every institute I have attended has resulted in a coverage change to multiple policies, protecting clients and helping to educate them and peers within my agency.”

Trent graduated from The University of Montana in 2012 with a B.S. in Business Administration and a Certificate of Completion in Entertainment Management. While at the University of Montana he was elected as the Business Manager of the Student Senate, overseeing a multi-million-dollar budget which included student clubs, UM Productions, The Kaimin, UM’s Independent Campus Newspaper, and many other student agencies.

He has been a part of Hanson Insurance Group since obtaining his insurance license in 2009. Trent’s focus is in commercial lines, workers’ compensation and surety bonding. Trent enjoys working with complex risks and being proactive versus reactive. He has worked directly with client’s customers, attorneys, CPAs and other professionals to meet their unique needs. In his spare time, he likes to fly as a private pilot, ski at Mt. Bachelor, wakeboard, hunt, fish, embellish in great NW craft beer, and generally enjoy life.
